Pernyataan Nikko itu disampaikan melalui akun Threads pribadinya, @nikkoilham.
Dalam unggahan tersebut, ia mengajak masyarakat yang memiliki kesempatan untuk mengambil cuti agar dapat mengikuti aksi yang disebut akan berlangsung pada 27 Agustus 2026.
“Mark the date:27 Agustus. Buat yang bisa ajuin cuti, ajuin cuti. Alesannya? Mau turun ke jalan. Woke up, middle class. I’ll be there. Gue mau motret dan bantu-bantu sebisanya,” tulis Nikko, dikutip pada Minggu, 23 Agustus 2026.
Namun, alih-alih hanya mendapat dukungan, pernyataan tersebut justru memicu perdebatan di media sosial X dan Threads.
